It is located 5 km from the Lodge, on the top of the Cetatuia mountain at the entrance to Arges gorge, and in order to reach it, a route with 1480 steps must be crossed, up to the altitude of 850 m. The fortress is attributed by tradition to the ruler Vlad Tepes and was raised as a place of refuge.
The episcopal cathedral, one of the most famous architectural monuments in the Romanian Country, was built between 1515-1517 by Neagoe Basarab. During the reign of King Carol I, the cathedral was transformed into a necropolis for the royal family of Romania. Apart from the royal tombs, at the Curtea de Arges Monastery there are also the relics of Saint Filofteia.

Its construction began in the time of Basarab I and completed in 1352, in the time of Nicolae Alexandru, wit the destination of a cult building and a burial place for rulers. It is one of the most representative monuments of the medieval Romanian architecture, being the oldest voivodal complex in the Romanian Country. The architecture of the church is of Byzantine type, the plan of the church belongs to the type "Greek inscribed cross", the Constantinopolitan version, ending with three apses at the east.
The Royal Church is located at a distance of 23 km from the Pension, in the city of Curtea de Arges.
The fountain is located in the park with the same name, on Heroes Boulevard. Legend says that it shows the place where the mason Manole, the clever builder, died, who, in order not to make a church as beautiful as Curtea de Mrges , Neagoe Voda left them on the roof with the other "nine great craftsmen, calfs and masons", ordering the scaffolding to be torn down. The Olari church it is dedicated to Virgin Mary and was built, according to the piety from 1869, in 1300. In 1687 the church was restored by the monastery Salomia, being restored and painted in 1869.
